Intaglio Etchings
View
this Collection . . .
These Etchings are done in a manner that has not changed in hundreds of years. The image is created on copper or zinc plate. The image is drawn and chemically etched, I have always loved drawing, and these hand pulled prints have allowed me to see my drawings go on in an edition. I mix my own inks, sepia brown, or blue black depending on the paper I am using. They are inked by hand and placed on a press bed, I then place 100% cotton paper over the plate, cover it with the press blankets, and start rolling my press. The paper is then hand pulled, and the paper is then placed on a drying rack. They can never be inked exactly the same way, every one is an ORIGINAL. They are hand signed begining with A/P (artist proof), the title and my signature. Some are hand colored, again making everyone differant. They are archaival, matted and framed with an explanation of the process and my bio on the back.
